The club is sad to report the death of Tony Castleman at the age of 69 after an emergency operation last week.
Tony joined the Old Surbitonians rugby section in the mid-1970’s along with many others from the
Old Hinchleyans after they encountered problems with their ground.
Tony featured as a centre in the Surrey Cup final versus Esher in1976 and although he did not continue to play for a great deal longer, in more recent years he has been a regular attendee at the annual Old Surbs reunion lunches.
He will be sorely missed by his many friends.
There are no funeral arrangements yet, but these will be posted on the Cobham home page when available.
